The Age of Innocence is a 1993 American film directed by Martin Scorsese. Newland is a lawyer engaged to May, she is beautiful and comes from a wealthy family. He begins to question the life he has planned for himself after the arrival of May’s cousin, Ellen. Ellen is a passionate lover who is seeking a divorce from her abusive husband. As Newland grows to love and care more and more deeply for Ellen, he becomes to wonder if it's right to enter in a passionless marriage with May. So now the film is all about whether he will follow his heart, or just want to fit in with the society.
