Date Night!
Date Night is a 2010 comedy film starring Steve Carell and Tina Fey. I have been dying to watch this movie every since it came out for Steve Carell, he's genuinely funny who understand how to time a joke. This is one of the rare comedy that is superbly paced, cleverly plotted and hilarious from start to finish. My favorite line Phil says, "I'd do it again you know? Us, you, me the kids, all of it. I'd do it again. I'd choose you every time. "

The Blues Brothers is a 1980 American musical comedy film directed by John Landis. This is some weird movie. For one thing, the jokes can be violent, like when one of the Blues Brothers asked the dining customer, "How much for the little girl?" tell me what was the point of that. The director sunk thirty million dollars on the movie, most of which apparently went to crashing dozens of police cars and wrecking a Chicago area shopping mall. Why not spend some money on their clothes, because the whole movie they wore the same suit and I literally mean it, they didn't remove their glasses at all. And throughout the movie the Blues Brothers kept saying, "You see, we're on a mission from God", I was like, what the hell is the mission?

It's a true story about Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow who were well know outlaws, robbers and criminals who, with their gang, traveled the United States. To me it was a pretty quick movie, in the beginning I heard a lot gun fires and when it stopped I saw Bonnie and Clyde dead and The End.

The Back Up Plan!
The Back Up Plan is a 2010 romantic comedy film starring Jennifer Lopez and Alex O'Loughlin. If you check out the trailer for this movie, it pretty much tells you what the whole movie is about, so here is my personal review, neither does this movie fall in the category comedy or romantic, it's more like Pregnancy. In beginning she's pregnant and in the end she gets twins, so it's all about how she goes through the pregnancy stuff. If Alex wasn't so cute looking I don't know how I would have finish watching the film.

Blazing Saddles is a 1974 Western comedy film directed by Mel Brooks. There are some people who can literally get away with anything, say anything, do anything and people will let them. Other people attempt a dirty joke and bring total silence down on a party. At its best, the comedy operates in areas so far removed from taste that it rises below vulgarity. It's a crazy movie that does everything to keep us laughing except hit us over the head with a rubber chicken. Its story line is a total mess.

The Blair Witch Project is a 1999 American horror film directed by Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sanchez. I wouldn't actually say it was a movie it's more like a bunch of video clips these 3 students recorded in their camera while filming their documentary on a legend "The Blair Witch," in the woods. It's' really spooky in way that only what has been recorded and filmed with the cameras is how we knew what was happening, throughout the film I felt like I was with them in the woods too, when the map got lost, or when Josh disappeared I was scared too, I could feel the Blair Witch coming closer. I'm just glad they couldn't get a glimpse of how the Blair Witch looked liked in their camera, because we saw that they dropped the camera when she came near, but if they did I swear I wouldn't have been able to sleep that day.

Originally in retirement, he is forced to re-enter the force when six replicants escape from an offworld colony to Earth.

The Birds is a 1963 horror film directed by Alfred Hitchcock. "It could be the most terrifying motion picture I have ever made", it's the most stupidest movie I have ever seen. Who thinks of such story, birds attacking humans by pecking them, and some people actually die because of them. "...and remember the next scream you hear might be your own", I will definitely be screaming if I have to watch another one of your movies. The question "why are the birds doing this?" is asked but never answered in the film.

Billy appears, in many ways, like other teenage boys. He's into heavy metal, is desperate to find a girlfriend, and dreams of a career as an actor and rock star. Yet in other ways Billy is unique. A troubled past and ongoing issues have left him marked. But he is not sorry about his personality and refuses to be a vicitim, creating his own techniques to help him survive in an environment of pain. Billy is funny, sharp, strangely wise for his age. We witness life from his perspective from intimate conversations with his mother, to being bullied at school, to his fantasies of becoming a superhero. "I'm not black, I'm not white, not foreign, just different in the mind. Different brains, that's all," says Billy.

It's about detective Philip, who is hired to keep an eye on General's youngest daughter, who has fallen into bad company and is likely to do some damage to herself and her family before long. He soon finds himself falling in love with her older sister, who initially takes a deep dislike to him. However, the plot heats up when murder follows murder, and we all start to wonder who the real criminal is.

The Big Red One is a 1980 American war film directed by Samuel Fuller. The Big Red One is the nickname of the 1st Infantry Division, organized in 1917. The story's focus is on the four privates who survive the war from beginning to end with their sergeant, who ignore the faceless replacements who continually arrive and die. The film portrays the horrors of war as it affects the men on the front lines.Zab: [narrating] Saving that Kraut was the final joke of the whole goddamned war. I mean we had more in common with him than all our replacements who got killed whose names we never even knew. We'd all made it through we were alive. I'm gonna dedicate my book to those who shot but didn't get shot, because it's about survivors. And surviving is the only glory in war, if you know what I mean

I didn't find anything funny about this movie, it was so stupid they kept saying the F*** word in every sentence, the story was even more stupider. The Dude and his bowling buddies find themselves repaying of a loan that they know nothing about. In a word, The Big Lebowski is a mess.

The Big Heat is a 1953 film directed by Fritz Lang. Dave is a cop who is investigating on a suicide case, he later suspects that it was a murder and a gang of criminals are behind it. As Dave falls further and further into the trap, he has to use any means necessary to get to the truth. The final line of The Big Heat can also be read as a warning, a message true to the sensibility. It is not only in the mean city streets but in every place of business, every government office, and even every family that violence and conflict, waiting to erupt.

With the help of his friend, Josh lands a job at a toy company. But the more he experiences being an adult, the more Josh wishes for the simple joys of childhood. It's similar to the movie 13 going 30, but it has its own speciality.

The Bicycle Thief 1948 Italian film directed by Vittorio De Sica. A poor young father who finally finds work putting up posters around town, only have his precious bicycle stolen the first day on the job. Through out the film, father and his young son chase after the thief. It's a sad movie, the whole time I even thought that eventually they would find the bicycle and he would get his job back and live happily ever after, but the film ends with the boy and his son, sad and let down, leaving us feeling sorry for the two. Holding hands, they both are in tears.

The story concentrates on the social re-adjustment of three World War II soldiers, each from a different station of society. Stephenson returns to a banking position, but finds it hard to be friends with his co-workers with new commercial realities. Fred is an ordinary working man who finds it difficult to hold down a job or pick up the threads of his marriage. Having had both hands burnt off during the war, Homer is unsure that his fiancee's feelings are still those of love and not those of pity. Each of these men face a crisis upon their arrival, and each crisis is an experience of many American soldiers who found a different world awaiting them when they came marching home.

Ben Hur is a 1959 epic film directed by William Wyler. Judah Ben Hur lives as a rich Jewish prince, his childhood friend Messala has been named to command the Roman. At first they are happy to meet after a long time but their different politic views separate them. Messala decides to make an example of him and sends him off as a slave. Through fate and good fortune, Judah survives the slavery and manages to return in the hopes of finding his mother and sister, who were also imprisoned, and to seek revenge against his one time friend.The film is subtitled "A Tale of the Christ", and it is at this point that Jesus reappears.

A Ghost story about an old grumpy man who begins Christmas holiday with his usual, barking at his neighbors and everyone else. But when the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future come to take him on an journey revealing truths to his face, he must open his heart to undo years of pain, before it's too late.
How to Train Your Dragon!
How to Train Your Dragon is a 2010 animated film directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois. What an awesome movie!!! If you ever dreamed of what it would be like to be a Dragon fighter, or be a viking, or be a Dragon, then you have to see this film. And if not, if you've ever caught yourself wishing they still knew how to make good movies, then you have to see this film. It's an exciting, fun and entertaining movie for everyone, it's too bad I didn't get to watch it in IMAX 3D, it would have been worth it.

Bend of the River is a 1952 American western film directed by Anthony Mann. I was wondering when I would be seeing a cowboy movie soon, and here it is. So the story is about a cowboy named Glyn, who has taken a job leading settlers to the West. The settlers set up home a few days later, but when Glyn goes to collect their winter supplies he finds a town gone gold crazy. The big twist is whether he can get the food back to the settlers on time.

Belle De Jour is a 1967 French film directed by Luis Bunuel. The title is the French name of the Daylight Beauty. Sadly I was watching this film with no English subtitles so I really didn't understand what it was about at the beginning but later I couldn't believe that I was watching a movie about a woman who decides to spend her days as a prostitute while her husband or boyfriend is at work. I double checked what the plot is online, and I was right, I also found out the reason why she wanted to be a prostitute was that she has masochistic, which is the tendcy to drive pleasure espically sexually. If you are interested , at the end she does get curred from masochistic. Dear John!
Dear John is a 2010 American romantic drama war film starring Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried. Story of John, a young soldier home on leave, and Savannah, a college student he falls in love with during her spring vacation. Over the next seven years, the couple is separated by John's forces. They stay in touch by sending of love letters to each other, but like they say, long distance relationship never lasts. This film reminded me of The Notebook, so if you liked The Notebook then you will definitely like this movie too, Dear Nickolas Sparks(author), There's no easy way to say this, I think you should stop publishing the same kind books with different titles. Try something else.

Attack! is a 1956 American war film directed by Robert Aldrich. During WWII, a group of soldiers are assigned the task of setting up posts in an unfriendly area. Three commanders abandon the mission, one of them a pathetic coward who doesn't want to go near the battle he's created. But commander Cooney steps up and sends his men out, and refuses to re enforce them, he's left with no other choice but to flee. It's and interesting film, but not the one to remember.

Sidney is a reporter given permission to interview the captain during a routine patrol. Poitier gets more than he bargained for when the Bedford discovers a Soviet sub in the depths and the captain begins a search, pushing his crew to the breaking point, which leads tension towards the end.

Battleground is a 1949 American war film directed by William A. Wellman. What they said in the beginning of the film is, "This story is about, and dedicated to those Americans who met General Heinrich von Luttwitz and his 47 Panzer Corps and won for themselves the honored and immortal name, "The Battered Bastards of Bastogne! " What it means is, this story is about a group of American soldiers as they engage the Germans in a snowy, foggy winter near Bastogne in World War II.
Special thanks to my little sister "Lakshmi" who was brave enough watch her first black and white english movie with me, not only did she promise she would watch this film again, but watching this film with her, she turned the war film into a comedy war film. This Battleground film, I will never forget!

Batman is a 1989 super hero film directed by Tim Burton. Everybody knows the Batman story, so you don't want me repeating it again, instead I will tell you what Tim Burton remarked, "I liked parts of it, but the whole movie is mainly boring to me. It's OK, but it was more of a cultural phenomenon than a great movie. " Wow, he's pretty open! I agree with what one of the critic commented on the film, "The best thing that can be said about Batman is that it led to Batman Returns, which was a far superior effort."

His old friends have an idea for a funny little Broadway show and he agrees to do it. But things begin to get out of hand, when big shot Jeffrey joins the production. If you don't like ballerina dancers, then you better start to like them, cause after all, this is a musical comedy.

Ballad of a Solider is a 1959 war film directed by Grigori Chukhrai. During World War II, 19 year old soldier Alyosha gets a medal as a reward for a heroic act at the front. Instead of this medal he asks for a few days leave to visit his mother and repair the roof of their home. On the train eastwards he meets Shura who is on her way to her aunt. In those few days traveling together they fall in love.
Narrator[last line]: This is all we wanted say about our friend Alyosha as he squirts off, he might have become a wonderful man, he might have been a builder but he was and will be forever in our memories a solider, a heroic solider.

Back to the Future is a 1985 American science fiction adventure comedy film directed by Robert Zemeckis. Marty, a typical American teenager of the 80's, is accidentally sent back to 50's in a "time machine" invented by mad scientist. Marty must make his teenage parents to meet and fall in love so he can get back to the future. I guess back then, "Time machine" was an interesting concept, but nowadays they use time machine to buy grocers that were on sale that they missed.

His twin brother has nine days to fill his brother's place. However, the enemy terrorists learn of his secret identity and kidnap his girlfriend. He has to rescue them and save New York city from a nuclear terrorist act. I really liked this movie, it had everything i was looking for some action, some comedy, some romance and most of all it is a 2002 film.

Audition is a 1999 Japanese horror film directed by Takashi Mike. You have no idea how scary this movie was. What I did was turned off the volume of the movie, at the same time turned on itunes and just read the subtitles, I thought it won't be as scary, but it made no difference I was still frightened. It's a story about a Japanese widower holds an audition to search for a potential mate, on the day of the audition she's the last person they see and he is hooked. He notes her number and try's to call her later, when he does, she lets the phone ring for some time before answering. She's alone in her darkened room, alone, that is, apart from a moving person she has tied up in a sack on the floor... I will let you imagine what happens next.
