Annie Hall is a 1977 American romantic comedy film directed by Woody Allen. After breaking up with his girlfriend Annie Hall, Alvy goes through journey of his memories of their relationship from their first meeting, trying to find out what caused them to part ways. He often speaks to the camera, entering peoples' stories, and even using animation. The lesson of Annie Hall can be reduced to "You have to like yourself in order to let other people like you." Or, as Allen says in the film, "I'd never belong to a club that would have someone like me as a member.
